About me

I believe that leadership is not just a role, it is the most important job in the world.

Not through being the smartest person in the room—but by creating rooms where people feel safe, challenged, and inspired to grow. That belief has guided my journey from engineer to executive, and now as a mentor, board member, and key note speaker.

As a Civil Engineer in Electronics from KU Leuven, I began my career as a software engineer. From there, I moved into product management, then on to senior roles in international marketing and strategy. Over the course of 17 years at BT, I gained deep experience in strategy, innovation, go-to-market execution, customer transformation, and strategic leadership across diverse European markets.

Juggling an international career with a family of three sons was not easy so I joined Telenet in 2011, where I spent 14 years as an executive leading business teams, HR, legal & regulatory, communication and corporate affairs as well as the transformation to an agile operating model. I had the privilege of working alongside talented teams to drive both digital growth and cultural renewal.

The bridge between technology and human focussed leadership has always been the recurring theme through my career. I believe technology can be a force for good if we use it in the right way. STEMpathy, I call it - combining skills and competences in STEM with the openness to listen, care and lead in a human centric way.

Today, I dedicate my time to what energizes me most, sharing knowledge and inspiring others by:

  • Giving keynotes on leadership, STEMpathy, culture and personal transformation
  • Mentoring young leaders navigating complexity, growth, and self-doubt
  • Serving on boards where I apply my experience in technology, strategy, HR, and leadership to help organizations thrive in an increasingly complex world.
  • Leading the STEM platform (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) to boost students and careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, crucial for innovation, sustainability and the future of our society.

Outside of work, I have tried to balance my life with what matters most to me- raising a family with three wonderful sons, spending time with my friends who keep me grounded, reading to learn and grow and recharging in nature. Whether on a bike or hike, I find clarity and resilience outdoors, just as I’ve always sought them in leadership. It is no coincidence many of my mentoring sessions happen while walking or even cycling.

Above all, I remain driven by a core belief: leadership is a choice we make every day—to act with courage, kindness, and clarity, especially when it matters most.
